Why?

What types?

What types of reports can be registered?

As long as it can be made publicly available, any type of sustainability, corporate responsibility, or integrated report can be registered in the Database.

This includes reports that:

  • Use the GRI Sustainability Reporting Framework (GRI reports) – including those based on GRI’s G3/G3.1 Guidelines or Sector Supplements, with a GRI Content Index
  • Refer to, or are influenced by, GRI’s Framework (GRI - Referenced reports)
  • Any other type of sustainability, corporate responsibility, or integrated report (Non - GRI reports)

The only reports excluded from the Database are single issue reports, such as environmental or health & safety reports: The Database features reports that cover multiple issues, including economic, environmental, social, and governance information. The reports can also be integrated, covering both sustainability and financial disclosures.

How?

How do I register my report?

Check whether your organization and most recent report are already in the Database; general visitors can use the Search function to view all organization and report profiles, without having to register.

Reports are usually registered via GRI’s international Data Partners. If your organization or report are not yet in the Database, follow the simple procedure on GRI’s website here. GRI will inform you when your report is added to the Database.

How do I edit my Database information?

Once you’ve registered your report, an Organization profile page and a Report profile page are created on the Sustainability Disclosure Database.

Two designated contacts from your organization can then update or add to your information on the Database. There are editable fields on your Organization and Report profile pages, and in the Reporting Examples section of your Organization page.

Please refer to the Data Legend for more details on these editable fields.

If you are one of the designated contacts from your organization, log in here: You can then access your Database profiles through your Account area.

If your organization has not yet assigned dedicated contacts, and you should be the first or second designated contact, send a request to GRI. Designated contacts must:

  1. Also be a registered contact on the GRI website, with a MyGRI page (if you are not yet a registered contact on the GRI website, register here.)
  2. Be employed by, or associated with, a Connected Organization on your MyGRI page. Your MyGRI page gives you the option to make your organization a Connected Organization.
