At the end of 2009, Fonciere des Regions drew up a risk mapping so as to define and monitor risks. 22 types of risk have been identified and eight of them selected for the application of action plans, in particular the risk of property obsolescence, inherent in market and regulatory developments. Risks are presented to management and to members of the audit committee. Risk management is carried out by the Audit and Internal Control function. This risk mapping will be renewed in 2012 in order to take into account developments in the company and the economic situation.

Fonciere des Regions operates a comprehensive policy of sustainable development, which is integrated into every stage of its property strategy alongside an ongoing effort to add value to its assets. It has set itself the objective of improving the energy performance of its properties, reducing their carbon footprint and controlling their health and environmental risks. All these operations are designed to obtain the highest certification and qualification levels, such as HQE®, LEED®, BREEAM®, and BBC-effinergie®. It also promotes and encourages the use of renewable forms of energy and non-carbon emitting solutions.
